The instrument with integrated variable magnification monocular vision.

Designed to preserve continuity of movement in high-precision professions: watchmaking, jewelry, quality control, micromechanics, microtechnology.
  • Integrated variable magnification (from overall view to micro detail)

  • One-handed adjustment without leaving the field of view, no interruption of movement or loss of concentration

  • Developed in Switzerland with the support of EPFL

In a world where everything is moving faster and faster, precision comes at the cost of interruptions.

Current instruments still require us to interrupt our work, change magnification and therefore magnifying glass, and search for the right distance, the right light, and the right setting.

VULTUS was created to eliminate this friction.

So that the eye remains in the same field of view.
So that concentration is no longer broken.
So that control is no longer a fixed position, but a reflex of precision, everywhere.

VULTUS is a monocular that adapts to the level of detail sought by the user and not the other way around, an adjustable optical micro-zoom, operated with one hand, designed as a working tool.

Developed in Switzerland with the support of EPFL, to meet the real conditions of workshops and precision industries.

VULTUS is not just another magnifying glass, but a monocular that redefines the standards of detail.

Precision without interruption.

A unique tool that gives you a bird's-eye view and a close-up view in one simple step.

An engineering feat that delivers the perfect view

Vultus technology is based on a unique, cutting-edge optical system—a true engineering feat—that provides variable magnification in an ultra-compact loupe without adding weight. A feat never before achieved.

Uninterrupted concentration and comfortable working conditions

Designed like a camera lens, Vultus replaces six traditional magnifying glasses, offering 2.5x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, and 12x magnification thanks to a precise 6-position ratchet system that guarantees intuitive, reliable, and perfectly legible adjustment.

A tool designed for everyday use

Every detail has been designed for intensive professional use: skin-safe eyecup - 100% biocompatible, high impact resistance, and components that do not scratch metals.

Compact technology.

Absolute precision.

Total freedom.

Who are we ?

Focus-Technology is a startup born from a collaboration between an independent watchmaker

and an engineer.

Combining technology and traditional expertise, Nathan Decurnex and Frédéric Jouvenot created Vultus, the first watchmaker's instrument with variable magnification.

The patented technology behind Vultus is the result of a year and a half of research and development at EPFL.

We aim to provide high-quality optical instruments, developed, produced, and assembled by hand in Switzerland, to professionals and enthusiasts.
